Just One

Just One This story albeit a short one is too long to post here so I've put it on my blog.

Living In A Tax Economy

This song was cowritten by my best friend, Mark Greenfield, during the
first Bush administration. Sadly, he died in a car wreck in 1995. So
this is for you, Mark:

(Sung to the tune of "Winter Wonderland"

Tax bells ring, are ya listening
baby's born, new and glistening
a beautiful sight, we're happy tonight
born in a Tax economy.

Gone away, is our savings
bread and water, is our craving
to eat once a day, and not starve away
living in a Tax economy.

In the coffin, we can build a new man
and pretend that he is dead and gone
when the IRS comes, we'll say, "It's true, man
he packed it up and moved to Forest Lawn".

Later on, we'll conspire
as we scheme, by the fire,
to change and upgrade, the will that he made,
dying in a Tax economy.
